Can I just say that Church is hard!! I am grateful I have a testimony of it because I would probably take a 12 year break! Yesterday Sacrament meeting felt more like a wrestling match. If it wasn't Annie crawling all over me or being way too loud it was Lily trying to walk all over, going under the bench (Annie did that, too). ElRey and I were a tag team and one of us was taking out one or two kids or passing one to the other. It was so bad I even got 2 or 3 comments from other people that was something like 'rough day?' or 'glad I'm not you!' Okay no one said that exactly but they were thinking it. Then I got to continue the wrestling match with my little 9 year old Primary class. My partner in that one was the lovely and pregnant Melanie Beard. If I wasn't saying 'quiet down' or 'listen' Melanie was. We enjoyed 2 hours (or is it 2 rounds?!) of that and the judges are still out about who won the match...A little later ElRey and I had this conversation:
ElRey said "Well, that's the last time I do that!"
Mindi- "What?"
ElRey- "I was fasting for guidance on how to help our kids be more reverant at Church."
Mindi- " So, basically today was your fault?"
ElRey-"Pretty much."
Mindi-"Awesome."
Fortunately ElRey did feel he recieved an answer that we need to be more diligent with FHE, family prayer and scriptures. So we are going to take it up a notch this week.

Okay - I hear you - Church can be rough. I just remind myself that at least I am teaching my kids the importance of attending all their meetings. Someday it won't be so tough - right?!
BTW - I am so glad that you found my blog and commented on it!!! Your family is so adorable. Glad you are doing well!!
Fun to see your blog!! Your kids are growing fast!! Glad you are doing well.
Amen! I have considered going inactive until my kids are grown up. But I guess that if I really do that they will never learn to sit quietly through church so I have to put in the effort now. I can't believe how much your kids have grown! Cute family.
Okay I totaly know how you feel! Its crazy some days! You crack me up though! I was laughing so hard reading that dialog between you and your hubby!Hillarious!
How funny. Torey and I had a conversation like that two weeks ago. He was ready to quit church for a few years.
you get the end zone and leave the tackle to ElRey!! ...GO!
They really do learn stuff though ..even when you think they're not even listening!
love ya!
Okay, so I totally made a comment to you on Sunday...but I wasn't trying to be mean. I just totally feel your pain. I think church is the hardest 3 hours of my life every week. Hopefully it gets better soon.
