Mother of the Year Nominee

Ok! Cast your ballots I am so up for the award! They say parents play with their kids an average 14 mins. a day. I totally tipped the scale today! I played Memory with Annie for a whole 30 mins.! Watch out! I might even ask Audrey how her day was or even play pattycake with Lily! I don't want to overexert myself, though. Maybe I better read a book for a couple hours just to pace myself....

Nice Work!
The national average is 14 minutes for real? That is sad! I am glad you are going above and beyond!

*Last night I read your comment on my blog before I went to sleep and I had a dream that you & I were running some kind of reunion?! It was really strange!

so what would you define as "play"? would "chase the kid and force him into pjs" be considered a legitimate game? what about "answer 50 bajillion questions" about something vague the kid saw in the car on the way to someplace that you didn't see so have to convincingly make up knowledge about? hmm, i think "play" can be a term that is used quite loosely and therefore mean i'm spending some pretty good quantity time with my kid. oops, i have 2 now don't i? i guess that means i do still have some working on that then to do :D
