It’s that time again. Time to let it all out. Kinda like going without a bra. Not that I EVER do that! That just wouldn’t be appropriate….
I confess:
- I often wonder why women wear shoes they cannot even walk in.
- I don’t care how rockin the shoe is. If they make you wobble with or without assistance-DO NOT WEAR THEM!!!
- On the way to
The Pit of Despairmy doctor’s office, I pass a billboard that says, “Can I kiss someone with Chlamydia?” - I am so not kidding.
- I think the real question is would you really want to??
- I think that’s a little like saying, “can I kiss someone with a big gaping sore on their mouth?” or “Should I use the toilet paper I found on the public bathroom floor?”
- I’m just sayin.
- I forgot to put on deodorant today.
- I think I’m still okay.
- I checked.
- I think my flat iron died today.
- So I tried using my clothes iron.
- Man, that thing sucks!
- It takes me about 2 hours to wake up in the morning.
- It takes my children about .002 seconds to wake up.
- I have been known to call my home phone with my cell phone from my bed to tell my 8 year old she needs to get ready for school.
- I realized all the amazing jobs (not that I am really looking for one) I can get with my Associate's degree are pretty much all the same ones I could get BEFORE I got my Associate’s degree.
- Actually, the thought of actually getting a job makes me throw up a little in my mouth.
- I’m such a beach bum!
- With no beach.
- Unless you count the Great Salt Lake beach.
- But would you really want to??

You're such a tomboy, Mindi! I have a pair of heels that are soooo uncomfortable and soooo cute. My mom asks how I walk in them. I tell her my feet cry the whole time I wear them but I get compliments! And no, I don't wobble in them.

Mornings are the worst! Hate them. And yes, kids have FAR too much energy only seconds after waking. Although they kill me, I am a fan of the 3-hour-shoe. Ridiculously uncomfortable? Yes. Do they make me tall enough to be an NBA player? You bet. But there's something about looking down at my feet and my now perma-flexed calves and thinking, "Oh yes, you're not just a mommy, you're a WOMAN!"

Oooh the associate's degree reality check--sorry 'bout that! BUT...it's a step closer to REAL MONEY if you can get past the despair. I'm feeling the same way about Masters (at my age esp.) Now, its' worth WHAT in USD? Gotta go study for my summer class. Rock some heels Min...it'll make you feel like a real woman (so I've heard--my hubby's 5'9" on tiptoe, so I don't indulge).
So funny Mindi! I have a hard enough time walking in 1 inch let alone any higher. A couple nights ago we were at McDonald's with the kiddos and the lady next to us had like 4 inch heels!...McDonald's????
No wonder so many women get back problems. :)

it used to take me forever to wake up too. ive since got it down to about 45 mins, but i dread the entire experience.

I think that TP off the public bathroom floor is okay as long as you can tell it hasn't been used.

Yeah, the GREAT Salt Lake??? Kind of a misnomer.
Now you've checked out the "beach" at Daybreak though? It's pretty fabulous for not being a "real" beach. We spend many a summer day there.
Great Salt Lake beach... that one smells funny. I'm pretty fond of the boating on Utah Lake, and Bear Lake, and whatever other lakes we have round here. Maybe California will break off soon and we might get some beach front nearby.
