You know, it’s hard to come up with positive happy things while your 6 year old is having a huge hissy in the corner during a time out but I am up to the challenge. bring it on, Emmy! ;) <----------- *notice wink, creepy but better than a “j/k”, which Emmy said is “so 1990’s” hahahahah <--------*notice the hahahaha which is also very 1990’s but I cannot bring myself to embrace “lol” It makes me feel like a 50 year old trying to dress like an 18 year old. Lol is the halter top to my over tanned, botoxed, fake boobed 50 year old.
But I digress.
Without further ado, my smiley list:
1. In an attempt to become the best family history consultant for my area I can be, I’ve been trying to learn as much as I can about all of it. While looking through my various ancestral lines I have found 3 lines that go all the way back to Adam and Eve! While there may be questions of total accuracy, the lines have me related to Scottish, Irish, Normandy, and Trojan kings! I’m still trying to get a hold of a crown and some of the family jewels but I am so on it!
2.I celebrated another birthday and realized I’ve made it through 34 years without any life changing mistakes-which is huge for me because I make a lot of mistakes! Luckily, none of them have landed me in prison, rehab, or, worse, the Dr. Phil show. My friend decorated my house for like the 6th year in a row!
It says, “Let’s make some noise for the birthday girl” and she taped up a bunch of noise makers all over-the kids loved that part.
3. I am half way through my half marathon training and feeling pretty good. Expect for that one time we tried to run up a trail (which is the kind of run the race is) and I lasted about .5 mile. That is much shorter than 13.1 miles. But the best part was when my friend had a sudden urge to leave mother nature a gift! Does a bear poop in the woods? I don’t know, but my friend does! baaahahahaha I love to be running again! Here’s a picture from the top of the mountain we hiked/ran. That makes me smile!
4. To go along with that, I {heart} my fanny pack.
5. Flying with the help of family and a sturdy blanket.
6. Giant tires and buckets of cold water.
7. The construction that was blocking our neighborhood and creating 3 times the amount of useless traffic down my quiet street has finally moved up the road! Anyone who lives in Utah knows there are 2 seasons here, winter and construction. It is getting old. I’m just glad it’s moved out of my front yard!
8. It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Yes, that’s right, school is back in session. Nuff said.
9. Yoga and babies that do it.
10. Did I mention the kids are back in school??
So if that list didn’t make you smile I don’t know what will! What do you have to smile about? Link up with Emmy and play along!

That list made me smile many times! Should I wink at this point? I can't believe your friend pooped in the woods! Hilarious. I don't know if I could I think I would freeze up.
The yoga picture is so cute!
Thanks for linking up.
I love the yoga baby picture! Too funny! I'm visiting from Emmy's place! :)
hahaha, pooping in the woods is super cool! So are fanny packs! I couldn't believe that was you being thrown up in the air-i had to do a double take. I love that not only you did that, but that you took a picture of it. I'm not sure I could ever embrace running...but I'm glad you do :)
Yoga babies? Fantastic.
Great list~
Oh, and my Hubs used to work on the software the Church was developing for family history. Almost nothing is accurate prior to the 1600-1700's. The whole 'linking back to Adam' thing is a myth. An interesting myth but still, a myth. Apparently though, in my Grandma's generation, it was a big status symbol. I don't see that so much now but anyone who is 70+ will be totally impressed by the linkage.
Hate Utah road construction! Awful!
Your friend is so cool to do that. Love it.
You are daring to be bounced around on that blanket. :)
The big buckets of water are becoming more popular around these parts.
School start is a happy time for you, a stressful time for me.
Mindi - if you are that desperate to fly...I have a good relationship with a pilot...he will also let you take control of the aircraft for a few minutes so if you need the feel to fly. I have an intimate relationship (shh don't tell Nathan J/K) with a guy would would love to find an excuse to fly some more even if it means to Utah...although it may have to wait til next summer because your weather sucks!
I don't even know my great grandparents names, much less my lineage back to Adam! I am smiling because of your blog..its keeping me entertained at work! :)
How dang funny are you???? I just love that your friend decorated your house for your birthday. Cute! Emmy's right - I smiled quite a few times. So happy to have found you through Ten Things!
Where I live in CA we have two seasons also... summer and not summer. Haha. Great list.
