We have witnessed History!
What an amazing day! No matter how you voted today you have to admit that it is a profound and amazing day! To think that only decades ago schools were segregated, whites and blacks had separate bathrooms, drinking fountains, sitting areas in restaurants and buses. Today an African-American man was elected President of our country! God Bless America!! I am humbled and amazed and I hope for the best for not only our country, but for the Obama family and what they have ahead of them! I know I seem very back and forth, there is just this gnawing nervousness in my gut about this man but I am also excited to know I just saw history in the making! Let's hope the next 4 years are just as historical in a good way! I love democracy and our awesome country! Even if it wasn't "your man" who won today, sorry, Mr. McCain, celebrate the pure awesomeness of such a historical event and especially, and most importantly, IT'S NOT HILLARY CLINTON!!! Let's hear another-GOD BLESS AMERICA and a HALLELUJAH for that one!!!!

Yay, Mindi. What a great way to express it. I was zonked out on cold meds, but woke up to the sound of Obama's acceptance speech. No matter who you are for, it really is a historic time. And I hope even if people don't trust him, or feel like he is the devil, I think we can all agree that now is a time that we all want to come together and show what makes America great. I feel like it is amazing to watch history being made. I almost wanted to go wake up Sisi and have her watch, of course she would have just hit me and gone back to sleep, but look at all that has happened in just her first two years of life...we are all living in a pretty amazing time.
