A Girl and Her Blog….

If you haven’t noticed yet, I am a little ADD when it comes to my blog of late. I keep changing things and messing around. I am trying to make it a little more my own and something to be proud of so bare(bear?) with me while under construction.

When I started this blog, I was doing it because it looked like fun and a good way for updating what our family is doing. It has become more of an outlet for me to the point if I haven’t put something down in a few days I get a little manic and crazed (redundant??). I love it more for flexing a writing muscle I hope is really there. There are blogs out there I read and think, I wish I could write like that so that is what I am trying to do with this. And while I will put updates of what my family is doing and such, I would like to do that flexing a little more. So with that said, what is it you like to read on my blog? Do you look forward to updates? Ramblings? Stories? Something different? Or a little bit of everything? Am I being Narcissistic? Please let me know!!

Some things I do know about blogging:

  • I love it! I love being apart of this strange community where I know someone but never even talk to them! I get to share in their joys, maybe carry a little bit of their burdens or just enjoy a good laugh or cry!
  • I have a love/hate relationship with Blogger! I love that they make it easy to start out but I also have a hard time writing in it! I will admit, I am a bit of a computer tard but ElRey found this really cool program called Window Live Writer. It’s free and it is soo much easier to do pictures and links! I love it so if you aren’t using a different program then Blogger try this out! You’d be amazed how much easier it is and it just publishes it right to your blog! It’s awesome!

I have also added on my sidebar some of my favorite postings so if you haven't read them check them out. They made me smile and giggle and I hope you have or will do the same!

One last thing I know before I go: The Church is True, The Book is blue (but sometimes black, burgundy, or forest green..)!

Have a great Sunday!

I look forward to YOURS..I am selfishly glad you feel guilty if you don't update, because then I get to read more and have a good laugh. You just have a great way of putting things...whatever it is you do, sista, you do it well. Keep it up!

I LOVE to read your blog! I probably shouldn't admit this, but I get a giddy feeling when I see that yours has been updated...not because I like you like that (sorry) but because I know that I will probably get a little "boost" in my day. I usually laugh (sometimes so hard it could be considered crying???) and love the fact that you are so good at being funny. Don't change a thing, unless you want to write more often. I could use a "Mindi Boost" every day! Love ya!

i too get that little thrill that runs up my spine when i see that mindi's blog has been updated! i think, what will that girl write about next? i love how you haven't stuck to just one general theme. i know a lot of people who seem to stick to a general area when they write--like they just blog about family outings and nothing else. it's nice to get on your blog and not be jealous of your vacations. but if you want to know if i have a favorite theme when it comes to your blog, i'd have to admit, your blogs about random things are my favorite. like the blog about your butt or your one remaining glass, those kind are my faves :)

I love all of it! You always crack me up and you write so well.

Question for you: How do you get your title picture so big - I have tried and can't figure it out. I want the rest of my blog the same (which is how yours is where the main part is big), but can't get my title bigger and it looks really silly. HELP a girl out?!

I love your blogs!! I love the stories. I love the family updates. I love your writing talent. (although I find it very intimidating for my own blog) I love your humor. Don't change any of that, just give us more, more, more. The reoccuring thought I have when I read your blog is that I need to spend more time with you and your family. We are family after all and I should not be learning so much about you through a computer. Shame on me!

You are the reason I started my blog and stopped my blog. I just couldn't handle the pressure of trying to live up to yours. Just kidding. But I really do enjoy your blog! You are so witty!
