Pizza Snowmen and Graham Cracker Gingerbread Houses

I am pretty sure that "Family Fun" magazine is going to be calling me any day to ask me to be a consultant! When you ignore the swearing, screaming, silent treatments, panic attacks and random crying jags, I am the funnest mom ever!!! The advent calendar has been going pretty well, we missed a couple days but for the most part we've done each one. Every year I wish I had done Christmas better and while there are things I want to do better next year, I feel pretty good about this one!
The other night we had a "Fun Dinner Night" and we made pizza. But not just any pizza! That's right, we made a snowman! Audrey and Annie thought that was pretty cool and devoured that poor snowman. He never knew what hit him! Here he is:

Today we braved the Hap-Hap-Happiest Place on Earth- Wal-Mart, and got stuff to make Graham-Cracker-Ginger-Bread-Houses. It was a messy and quick project and a reason to have candy around. Have you noticed all my "fun" ideas involve food? No wonder my bum is jiggly!!

So now the trick is to figure out what the heck we will do for the rest of this time off. Everyone is home till January whatever and Audrey is off track till eternity! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and that you all get the pony you asked for! No lumps of coal, well, unless you asked for it! Merry Christmas!!

Sounds like you're having fun! I love how funny your posts are. I like to believe that despite it all, I'm a fun mom too. By the way, you inspired me to make reindeer cookies with my kids today. Thanks for the ideas.

Very cute houses, and an awesome pizza! I love all your ideas, I am still trying to think of Christmas traditions, and you are giving me some inspiration. :)

I love the graham cracker houses and would've loved to have my way with the pizza snowman! I remember making graham cracker houses with my mom as a kid ... I also remember that every year (up to the Nebraska years) Kathy,(Elrey's mom for those of you reading this comment that don't know his mom's name) brought us a real gingerbread house! I really looked forward to that ... AHHH .... the memories!

I am so making a snowman pizza tomorrow night for dinner. Gotta go to the store now and pick up cheese and tomato sauce. What a swell idea! Thanks!
